Up to 72 chords are shown on a page, and tunings/voicings have text-written help where needed. Most of the book is a straight-up chord guide, with hundreds of examples. Overall, Chords and Tunings For Fretted Instruments is laid out very well, with concise, easy-to-read examples. A great book for fans of no-bull chord listings that pack a lot of info on one page.

Other instrument tunings and chords are shown for bass, mandola, mando-cello, ukelele, baritone ukelele, and tenor guitar. There is also a large section devoted to chords in standard guitar tuning. Sandberg maintains focus on the more "pragmatic" chords for these instruments as played in folk, bluegrass, pop, blues, and rock music. An excellent source for the multi-stringed instrumentalist.
